Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Ayah ("the app") is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what information the app does and does not collect.

Information we collect

Ayah does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email, or personal identity to use the app. Your memorization plans, progress, settings, and review history are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, sell, or share this information.

Recitation checking

If you choose to use the optional recitation-checking feature, a short audio recording of your recitation is sent securely to our processing service solely to transcribe and compare it against the verse you are reciting. This audio is used only to return your result and is not stored, sold, or used for any other purpose. If you do not use this feature, no audio ever leaves your device.

Qur'an text and audio

The app uses the verified KFGQPC Hafs Uthmani text, bundled within the app, and streams reciter audio from third-party public sources when you choose to listen.

Subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is handled by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.

Children

Ayah is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
